Aurora Borealis

Inchcolm Island Wedding Photography

Ish and Kevin got married on Inchcolm Island. Ish hid in the captain's cabin for the outward journey on the Maiden of the Forth and remained hidden until all the guests has disembarked. It was a beautiful day and Inchcolm Abbey provided a host of wonderful wedding photo oportunities. We went to the beach for a photo shoot before a group photo of all the guests on the pier. Just photographed some landscape viewpoints near Keith in Moray. Unfortunately the weather was against me and I discovered a fabulous coffee shop in Keith that, without a shadow of a doubt, makes the best coffee in Scotland. The only problem now is that all other coffees just aren't quite as good.

It's like getting into your Porsche having driven a Bugatti Veyron (I would imagine).

Loch Rannoch Wedding

The wedding of Juli and Martin took place on the banks of Loch Rannoch. Juli had her heart set on an outdoor wedding. The dream was nearly broken due to the Scottish weather. In the days leading up to the wedding the forecast was all over the place. The night before the wedding the temperature dropped to -6 with snow on the hills. Fortunately the sun managed to break through the clouds and was beating down on the banks of Loch Rannoch. Here are some photographs from the wedding at Loch Rannoch.

The wedding of Lisa and Simon took place in Edinburgh Registry Office in the High Street, Edinburgh. As the couple did not want anything too fancy, we took a walk down the Royal Mile / High Street and took the wedding photos as we walked. Mellerstain House Pre-Wedding Photo Shoot

A lovely evening provided the backdrop to a pre wedding visit to Mellerstain House in the Scottish Borders to plan Nicola and Ali's wedding. It really pays dividends to plan your wedding day's shooting prior to the wedding. When possible I like to walk around venue with the couple, taking a few photos.

First Communion

Cat

Shadow, the cat, is a little psycho (probably due to being part Siamese) and I wanted to convey this image. I spent a lot of time editing this photo on the computer and gave it a sharp staccato, slightly grainy look which I think works quite well. More importantly my customer was really thilled with the final result.

New Blog Site

My blog site is (finally) up and running. As a photographer I love new gadgets & toys and have relished the transfer from 35mm to digital however I have been a little slow at 'blogging'.

I will however make the time to update my blog site so any interested persons can get a feel for my style of photography and see what I've been up to.
